Popeyes // At Least We Still Have The Sandwich
For the one year anniversary of the Chicken Sandwich, we tapped into something everyone was feeling in 2020: nothing was going according to plan.
Toilet paper shortages. Homeschooling around the clock. Murder hornets. Saharan dust. Bubble seasons. Apps on the brink of disappearing. The year kept throwing curveballs.
Through it all, we found a simple truth. No matter what else changed, at least we still had The Sandwich.
First, we kicked off a countdown to 2021 by starting the Times Square ball drop six months early.
We then ran a full page ad in the New York Times.
