Most people do not realize the metals inside their devices can be traced back to conflict zones in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

So we used the language of social video to reveal what is really behind our screens. We invited influencers to take part in what they believed was a typical Intel product unboxing. The cameras rolled, the packaging looked familiar, and they had no idea what was coming.

Instead of a new device, they were confronted with the truth about conflict minerals and where the materials in our tech can originate. The stunt was real. Their reactions were real. And through it, we spotlighted Intel’s commitment to building conflict free products.
